Mr. Phil Hogan, T.D., Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government met with Cavan County Councillors in the County Council Chamber Courthouse Cavan on Friday 10th February 2012. The Minister answered a number of questions raised by the Councillors on a range of topics of interest to the County. Mr Hogan spoke to Irishweb.com of how Co Cavan was leading the way at European level on The Water Framework Directive and thanked Mr Jack Keys Cavan County Manager and Mr Sean McKiernan Chairperson of Cavan County Council for implementing the directive a number of years ago that is now accepted at European level as being the model for National rollout
